1. Two Ways to Delete Your Account
We provide two options to permanently delete your PrayPath account and all your data. Both fulfill your erasure request under KVKK Article 7 and GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure).
2. Option 1 — From Inside the App (Recommended)
If you have access to the app, this is the fastest path:
1. Open the PrayPath app 2. Go to the Profile tab 3. Open "Edit Profile" 4. Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom 5. Confirm your request on the confirmation screen
Your account and all your data are deleted immediately and permanently. This action cannot be undone.
3. Option 2 — By Email
If you cannot access the app (lost device, locked account, etc.), email hello [at] praypath [dot] app from your registered email address.
• Subject: "Account Deletion Request" • Body: confirm your registered email • Your account will be deleted within 30 days; you will receive a confirmation email
We may request additional information to verify your identity (e.g., last purchase date) to protect against fraudulent deletion requests.
4. Data That Will Be Deleted
The following data is permanently removed when you delete your account:
• Account details (email, password, profile) • Dhikr sessions and history • Hatim (Quran reading) progress • Personal duas and intentions • Location and notification preferences • All personalization settings • PostHog usage analytics (if previously opted in)
5. Limited Retained Data
Due to legal obligations, the following limited data is retained for a short period:
• Deletion request log — KVKK Article 7 compliance evidence (2 years) • Billing records — Turkish Tax Procedure Law, Apple/Google purchase ID (5 years)
This data cannot be linked to your personal worship content and is retained only for legal audit purposes.
6. Subscription Cancellation
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you have a Pro subscription:
• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → PrayPath → Cancel • Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → PrayPath → Cancel
The store-side subscription remains active until you cancel it there, even if the account is deleted.
